How old should nigerian dwarf's be before they are bred?

How old should my doe be before I breed her? I know people with goats are telling me they wait until they reach 80 lbs. My goat will never reach 80 lbs lol. My 2 year old is not 80 lbs. When should she be bred. Some are telling me 6 months seems young... 8 months or delivery by a year old is what I thought am I right?

Yep, 8 months old is usually good. That's what I do. Early spring birth - late fall breeding. My doeling was born in Feb and she's getting bred in November...
