(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This is my first year raising chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 6 egg-layers.
(3) What breeds do you have?
4 Buff Orps, 1 Lavender Orp, and one Gold Spangled Spitzhauben (It was supposed to be a Jubilee Orp...
)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love learning about them, and watching them mature. Most of them are big pets that like to be held. Not so much the Spitz.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Playing computer games. I am retired.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Retired military. We have a cat that resembles a small main coon.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through a web search. I love how supportive all the members are.
