How old to butcher a daul chicken? Have to order soon!!!

How old is a good age to butcher a daul bird?
Are the roos better then a pulet? I have to order soon! So please help me!

Dual purpose chickens are usually taken at 16-18 weeks thats the males. I have had RhodeIsland Reds and Barred Rocks for this purpose. Mine dressed at 3.5 to4 lbs.
This year I raised cornish x rocks. At 9 weeks hens dressed at 5.5 lbs and the roos 6.5 to 7+. The meat is beautiful and plump and very tender. I would do this again. The dual chickens were a dissapointment. Hope this helps.
