I have 4 five week old white plymouth rocks, and I didn't know if they still need their brooding lamp. They don't seem to be too cold or too warm right now, but I didn't know if there was a certain age that they wouldn't require the light. We plan to move them outside within the next few weeks. Should I take out the lamp to help them start to get used to the cold? Any help would be much appreciated thank you :)

Most birds are feathered out at 6ish weeks, so go by how your girls look. If they're feathered, go ahead and pull that lamp to start acclimating them. They can at least be without it during the day, now.
