About how old do you start noticing the "pointy" Hackle and Saddle feathers on chicks (if they are roos) These are mixed with a Red Sexlink roo and either Leghorn, blacksexlink or red sexlink hens. My babies are almost 4 weeks and all look very similar (comb growth) except one or two that are noticeably different so how soon can I start to look at the hackle and saddle feathers to see if they are roos or not?

Usually, about 8-10 weeks on most of my BRs and others. What you can do is part the back feathers and you may see the pointy, extra shiny saddles coming in on the cockerels about 8 weeks old.
