How old when you had your youngest child?

I have 4 and my last one came when I was 32. They were all really really easy births, I had her at home and it was the easiest one. Something about having them at home makes everything super blessed. Go for it.

I was 20 when I had my first, 25 when I had my second, 30 when I had my third, and 34 when I had my fourth. Physically, it's a little harder to carry a baby the older you get but, mentally, I think it's actually easier. Best wishes to you!

I had my 4th at home too! With no pain relief it felt like it took an hour for her to come out but afterwards when I asked my midwife how long I pushed I found out it was only 11 minutes!

OH I have to say that I was 19 for my first (in great shape too) 20 for my second child and 36 (and overweight) for my third! AND I HAVE TO SAY my third was a BREEZE! It was SO easy. I never had any meds for any of my kids and the first two I just wanted to die (pitocin used for the first two) for the last one...totally natural 8 lb baby and had him from start to finish in 5 hours. NO PITOCIN! My adivice to new mothers...if they ask you if you want to go home and wait or start pitocin...GO HOME AND WAIT! lol It's 100 times easier without the pitocin (not sure if I'm spelling that right). OH AND another plus with having them older...WAY more patience! We are LOVING this little guy!

Thanks Jolyn for starting this thread. My situation is a little different but the question is the same. I will be 38 in Sept. My 1 and only is 13. I had preclampsia toxemia with him. We were both very ill. He was 2 months early and weighed 3 lbs. That marriage ended years ago. I am married now to a wonderful younger man. He is 30 and would really like children of his own. We are both concerend about the risks due to my age and past problem pregnancy. We have considered adoption as well. I just want to say that this thread is being helpful so keep it coming ladies!

I made AGE 30 MY CUT OFF POINT for producing ..... I made 30 in March and she was born in Sept.

Before her , I had LOST 2 . one at 4 months and 1 at 8 months . SO last and middle child are 11 years apart .... OLDEST and YOUNGEST are 14 years . OLDEST AND MIDDLE are 3 years and 1 day apart .

ONLY thing is with older mothers , you feel there is NOT enough hours for ALL the children and WORK , HOUSE , and personal life too . The older we get , naturally the harder it is .

You feel drained and no entergy .....

I had my youngest at 31. I don't think the issue was age, so much # of children. She was #5, and I had 4 little ones to manage, plus she was huge and just broke me down at the end.
