How old should a cockerel be before he will start fertilizing eggs, or do they have be be a year?
I have a cockerel in with some hens and another roo. I don't like that roo, so I want to take him out, but I wanted to know how long it will be before he can fertilize the eggs. It's hard to tell if he is topping the hens, b/c he is in with another roo, and not "allowed".
