How on earth do you create a link from an article to a forum????

Hi guys, I want to know how to create a link from an article to thread, because it is inconvenient not knowing and I would like to do it. So how do you create a link????? Answers will be VERY appreciated!

You on a desktop or phone? On desktop I just copy the link in the google search tab and paste it like this:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/blackhackles-light-sussex.1256898/
