And, as a home visitor, I have been in some houses where I truly wouldnt want to take off my shoes either but I always, always either wipe them super good before entering or at least asked what their preference was. I had some houses where I would change shoes before getting back in my car and bag up the ones that I was wearing. So, I know that these folks probably have had some bad experiences but if thats the job that they chose, then you get the good with the bad.
I think part of my annoyance is knowing that these same people will be out there in my community with the families that I have worked with, treating them the exact same way. I'm a die-hard-advocate for treating people with respect and I am just soooo annoyed today. gah!
