How short can a chicken's claws be and be perfectly healthy.

I have a chicken whose claws are pretty long. I'm going to clip them soon, but can anybody tell me how short is too short? I would hate to have her start bleeding just because I clipped her nails into the quick...

Doesn't matter I guess my hens HAVE NO claws well some of them they got cut off from ropes strings dirtballs HARD dirt so yeah.
