My coop is far too small for our (big) girls, so we have just purchased a second-hand coop that is a bit bigger, as we realised that our coop wasn't really too small, we just have really big breeds and didn't take that into account when buying the original coop. Someone else will definitely be able to make use of our current coop in almost perfect conditon.

Does anyone have any tips as to how we can disinfect and clean this new coop to make it safe for our girls?

If it were me, I would pressure wash it and then use a mixture of bleach and little bit of liquid detergent in a spray bottle and spray away. Let it sit for a while and rinse.

Be careful! Mixing bleach with detergents that contain ammonia will create a toxic gas.
