how should i do a staggard hatch = cartons vs tunner

i am going to do a staggard hatch but am unsure of what method i should use. i have a dozen of mix eggs, breeds, polish, FBCM,OEs,EEs and my barnyard special some are being shipped and the others are ready to go tonight so any suggestions.
i have a LG incubator still air , yes i have a themo/hydromeater combo and it is warming up as we speak just need some adive on what i should
use. cartons and tilt the bator side to side a couple times a day , or should i just plug in the tunner and last 3 days use cartons
lost one hatch (low heat and hummity) and the second had 4 out of 20 hatch. (not sure what went wrong with the other eggs,i felt so awful for the lost that i could not bear to open them up) i am looking for better results

HOW staggered will the hatch be? I usually just leave them all in the turners, and then unplug it on day 18.

Batch #2 can be still for a few days, depending on WHEN it is. Turning is most important days 10-18.

I'm using an LG, my first time incubating with no turner and no fan initally. Day after day of tracking the temp 6-8 times a day and turning 3 -5 times a day, and I am all for a turner. I put in a fan ( stripped from a pc spliced to an adapter) to improve on the fluctuations in temperature and areas that run hotter or colder. Some LG's seem to work fine, others do not. IMO
