How should I introduce new chicks to a broody hen with chicks?

I have a broody hen who recently hatched around 7 chicks. We decided to get 4 more around 3 days and tried to introduce them to our broody mother. I put them under her wing in the dead of night. I heard that was the best option for them to get accepted. Are there any other things I need to know or watch out for?

Welcome to BYC. If the new chicks are the same age and similar in color, she may not notice the new number of them. If she does, she may reject the new comers.
Have you seen her with them since you stuck them under her?

Yes I have and she has rejected them. She was pecking them so we moved them to another brooder outside.

She may not accept them and she might kill them. I am pretty sure she will know the difference.
