I have a "B-type" personality rooster. He was the 3rd in line among the roosters, and is now the only rooster we have (the other 2 were too aggressive). He is low-key, very caring of his hens, quiet, and intuitive, if not smart. And it seems like he's now including humans under his caring wing.
Earlier this week, my son was home sick. He slept on the couch while I worked outside. I checked on him every 15 minutes, but he hadn't stirred. Then at one point, the rooster came up to me and flapped his wings, obviously trying to get my attention. It was unusual behavior for him to come so close. I went indoors and sure enough, my son had just gotten up. Most people I tell this story to think it's a coincidence. I'm thinking that it's not. Anyone else ever encounter this kind of behavior?
