How soon after the Egg Song did you get an egg?

I was thinking the same exact thing a few weeks ago. My largest RIR pullet practiced a short 8 second egg song at 16 weeks. 3 weeks later (Which is today) I got my first perfect little brown egg which I found in a little nest made out of dirt and feathers.

Yep, that's just what it is! And everyone must join in, little or old, boy or girl....I read about it and wondered if I would know it when I heard it. You can't miss it! I'm headed out to the coop now. Hopefully one of those little girls laid an egg for me!!! I can't wait to see the color. If not today, maybe tomorrow.... Chickens give me hope!

Well, that didn't take very long! Heard it this morning and found a beautiful brown egg tonight from Boo, my Marans hen. It's gorgeous!!!
