How soon can a hen start laying

How soon can a Amerecuana start laying eggs? Is 15 weeks too soon?

I have a lavander Americana and the old timer I got them from said 16 weeks for purple eggs. I’m exited as I’m sure you are. Mine are only 1 month old.

16 weeks is generally the earliest but many birds don't lay until the 20s. I've never had an early layer, all of mine have been on the later side, like 24+ weeks.
