How soon can you put eggs in incubator?

I'm planning on putting some of my duck eggs in my incubator tomorrow, this will be my first time hatching eggs!! I've been collecting the eggs for a couple of days and also plan to put tomorrow's eggs in. Can I put them in right after they've been laid or should I wait a certain amount of time after they've been laid??

Do what Mama Duck does. Lay the entire clutch and then begin to set. That way they all hatch at the same time.

Just throw them in! The only thing you have to worry about is if they are too chilled. Then, you'll have a sweating egg on your hands. This will cause the pores to swell and let bacteria in, but just throw them in, and good luck on your hatch!

If they are cold or chilled bring them upto room temp for a few hours before sticking them in the incubator.

Thanks for the replies! I threw them all in just after collecting the eggs this morning. The eggs were fresh enough that they weren't chilled yet but weren't really warm either so I think I got them at the right time. I hope I have a good hatch!!

They'rehischickens, I'm very new to chickens, and I've never hatched an egg, can you really hatch eggs that are a few days old? Just let them build up in the broody box? And then put them all in the incubator together?
I had been planning on putting in a few layed each day ,and adding to it each day, but is it better to do it the other way?
...any advice you can give me would be appreciated...

you can keep them up to 7 days and turn them at least 2 times a day. you need to put them in at the same time so they all hatch at the same time and you dont creat a stagered hatch were you will need at least 2 incubators for.
