What is the earliest age you cull your chickens?? At what age do you think gives you the more tender meat??

roos or pullets?
I cull my unwanted/excess laying breed roos about the time they become a pain in the neck I usually get a 1.5 lb carcass which I use and find perfect for a pot of soup.
pullets I wait until I see a trait I find undesireable (comb type, leg or feather color etc) but these I usually offer up on CL for 10-15.00 each then if they don't sell I butcher.

Well I think I got one of each. But these are cornishX from TSC. I was just asking on the chicks page about the what ifs any off my layers are roos, as I do not want roos!

oh well if they are CX you will buther the male around 8 weeks and ther feamle around 10
