Another stupid thing my Sammy does is, when there's something scary to bark at, unlike the other dogs, he barks from the safety of the house while the others run out to do battle and chase the intruders away. You know, like the trash or propane truck, FedEx, UPS, etc.

My pooch has no clue about threat assessment. She will chase any cat, fox and even a large peccary that shows up. If a stray pit-bull carrying a Glock showed up, she would rush over to say hi and invite it home.

She is outright terrified of newborn kittens.

My cats were scared of my hampster. It would walk towards them aggressively wiggling its nose, and they would run away.

I was standing right by it just in case, I needed to know what my cat would do if it got out by accident. Run away was a good response.

Our silly dog, when on the steel cable, would back out to the end of the line and try to play tug of war with it. I'm doing so, his razor sharp teeth would accidentally shred through the twisted steel lines. He is now on a proper chain, and we no longer have that issue.
But, the reason he was on a cable in the first place was because, when loose in his dog run, he'd get bored and decide to chew the siding off the house! We had to replace three siding planks.
His run, by the way, is completely barren. That is because he dug up all the grass roots and ate them.
