How to actually FIND duck eggs

Tried last night. No way! Three of us, two sticks each...nope. they hid in the trees and wouldn't come anywhere near where we wanted them to go. Treats didn't help either. Wouldn't come close enough to even try them...had to give up....try again tonight. Any help how to make it work?
All I can think of is temp fencing like I explained in earlier post. then you can trick them into it to feed and after they go in you close the hole and herd them inside,. Walk slowly when herding

Yes, I agree! Also, you have to be calm. You can't get upset no matter how much you might like to. I sang to mine and the more frustrated I was getting I'd calmly sing about it to them. Yeah...good thing no one was around, lol. It sounds to me like your birds still see you as the 'monska'. Like little kids, of course they are going to run away and you've got to figure that ducks might be about 1 1/2 to 2 years old if they were human. So as the grown-up you have to trick the little buggers into thinking it was their idea or as Miss Lydia said, a barricade of some kind.

Sometimes even now, my little brats will not want to go into their pen or in their house at night. Last night was fairly easy but the night before it took me over an hour to get them to go into their house. I was not a happy camper as I had to walk round and round a muddy pen, pouring rain, to herd them in. Slipping and slidding all the way.

HA HA HA!!!! The little stinkers got locked into the CHICKEN COOP last night...hubby went out to lock up the chickens and there they were so, there they stayed

Actually, that would work quite nicely and, if they wanna keep going in there...no prob! I've got a broodie who I could put in the "duck tractor". Looking to try her on a few eggs...to see what we might get.

Anyway, gonna try to put up the temp fencing tonight see if that helps.
