How to adopt a ex-battery hen?

So yeah does anyone know where I can get one I live in North Carolina I doubt it but does anyone know where I can get one also I want it as an indoor chicken I want an ex-battery because they won’t hate me for only letting her go outside when I’m not home and because they are so sweet and deserve better than living in a cage for the rest of her life
