How to attach hardware cloth to a wood frame?

Looks good! I'm so glad dh has a compressor and nail gun. I used to hate nailing in staples by hand!

We used those u shaped fence staple things too, hard to hang on to, but are pretty sturdy.

I think that fence nails and fence staples are the same thing. They call them steeples down here. I don't think staples from a staple gun would quite do the job.

Can you get fence staples for a nail gun/staple gun? I've never seen them but then I've never looked either.

I like the flat shiny washer things with screws. It looks easier than bashing your fingers when hammering in steeples.

I've had good luck with my staple gun! Only, I bought the most expensive one and found out that the staples came out of the "other end" when I stapled. Finally figured out why the gun wouldn't work!

I have had several projects that I used fence staples on. I finally figured out that if I held the staple with a pair of needle nose pliers it was easier to get the first tap of the hammer, then finish. I have gotten rather proficient at picking up the staples with a pair of pliers!! If I didn't do that, I don't last long without getting bashed fingers, lol

You want "Fender washers". For hdwe. cloth, fender washers and cordless drill/drivers are a gift from heaven!

I used poultry wire staples I got at TSC. They work great. Smaller than regular staples, so they don't split the wood. They seem pretty strong with the hardware cloth.

We used on our brooder, the staple gun... but i'd use on the run, the barbed fence staples...they have a little barb down the sharp end, and they stay in like AWESOMELY.
