How to break a broody?

One of my hens is an idiot. She is broody, though not completely so. (If I have food and I call them, she will come.) Anyways, there aren't even any eggs in the nesting box. I would like to know how to stop her behavior and get her laying again.

anti-lock disc brakes would probably be the best option...

If you can put her in a wire floored cage with food and water but no place to make a nest, she should break within a week. Just don't provide her a place to nest, thus the reason for a wire floor.

I just read some where on here that if you dip them in cold water it breaks it and if the cold water doesnt work add ice and dip again (not the head) I heard a few people say it works !!!! worth a try !!
