How to breed Americanas/EE

Could anyone tell me what breeds of chickens to breed to get an Americana/EE. Or just in general how you go about breeding to get Easter Eggers.

Get a blue egg layer and cross it to whatever you want. White cross will get light blue eggs, green cross will get blue and green eggs, brown will get green eggs

Ok. That makes some sense. Although I thought that if done properly, through maybe a couple of generations, chicks hatched could turn out to lay almost any random colour of egg.

It's just mixing breeds together. The genetics involved still have sway. The fastest way to get there is to mix two green layers, but those have to be made by mixing a blue and brown layer

They will make birds that can lay blue, brown or green.
