How to breed lavender Orpingtons

I have buff Orpingtons but how do I breed lavender Orpingtons?

It's not recommended to mix colors will make an awful mess

You need lavender orpingtons to make lavender orpingtons. Crossing lavender to buff will give messy colored birds with black and buff patches. It would take several generations to breed out all of the buff genes and keep the lavender gene. At that point it would be a lot simpler to just get a breeding pair of lavender orpingtons.

My lavender hens have a lavender laced isabel cockerel. They are laying and I have some eggs in the incubator. What should I expect in the chicks as to color? And one more thing... is this a good idea to breed together?
