How to breed wheaton/blue wheatons??

Yes, ANYTHING with blue in it works the same as solid blues. So blue duckwing, blue wheaten, blue buff columbian, whatever - Works in the same Blue-Black-Splash manner.

No correction necessary

I am trying to understand this. If I breed my wheaten marans rooster to my splash marans hen, I will get all blue, with each of them carrying one of the two necessary wheaten genes, correct? So breeding the offspring together could get blues, splash, regular wheaten and blue wheaten, correct? Thank you!

thats correct. BUT only 25% of your birds will be wheaten. and a few of them wheaten will be blue wheaten. so I would hatch Lots of eggs...OR... breed the F1 cross(of wheatenxSplass) back to wheaten and encrease the chance to 50%.

I have 2 wheaten hens and a Splash rooster. Will their offspring be blue wheaten? I also have a Blue Marans chick that's 2 weeks old looks like a roostersince he's already got a red comb. Would the Blue work better than Splash?
