Hello BYC.

My farm currently has 26 chickens, today we are getting four ducks, Pekin. They are babies.

We want to make a duck pond; for them.

I would like to know how to build one, cheaply.

Please help! Thanks.

PLEASE POST PICTURES OF YOUR POND! :)

What do you consider cheaply? That will help

But 4 pekins will be happy with a kiddie pool changed as needed.

We aren't looking to spend that much, so probably about $300 or less, we can go a little bit over, but not much preferably.

Take an old tractor tire if you can find one and do something like this. Its not that expensive i just did mine and it only cost me like 135 bucks.
400

The most expensive part for me was buying the stone to go around it and finding a uitable pump/filter. Which I'm sure you could use any type of rock. I just used landscape stones from our garden center and a swimming pool pump filter combo.

Do you know the exact pump you have?

Quote: @backwoodschicks I'm curious what kind of filter and maintain/clean said filter....I did ornamental ponds for some years, can't imagine filtering duck poop.
What kind of 'plastic' did you use for liner?
