How to care for a broody hen?

How many standard size eggs can my little bantam handle? because those are the only fertilized eggs I know I have my rooster is a standard and I dont think he is successful with fertilizing my banties
It depends. Just make sure she is able to completely cover all of the eggs. As aart said, it is also a good idea to test fertility.

aart, I see you are online so I thought I'd jump in and ask questions. This is my first time with a broody. I have a separate small coop. Do you think I should move her. She is very protective of her eggs and has been sitting on them for two days. She growls when I get close. Do you think it is okay to leave her where she's at. I have not seen her leave the nest even once. Is it alright if I don't candle the eggs? I know the eggs were no more then 1 day old so it should be okay to not candle, right. Any help you can give me would be apprec. I'm afraid to move her and the other chickens haven't been bothering her so what do you suggest?
