how to catch a chicken?

I invite a couple of friends over, put out a bottle of 'adult lemonade' and share a pool net between the lot of us. We have some laughs, get us a chicken, and sit around and enjoy the evening in the shade afterwards, reminiscing about our prowess. Or making fun of each other, depends on how long it took us.

I corner the targeted chicken and approach very slowly, open my arms as wide as I can, that way she feels there is no way out.
Also if I feed them something they like, such as watermelon or sweet potatoe they are easier to catch.

I catch them in corners or out in the open field with a fish net and 15' handle. Chicken doesn't care if you're 10' away, just walk up and drop the net over them. I then lay the net on the ground, go grip the chicken in the net, flip it over and then take them out with the other hand. the freak out the first time, then they learn that it's not hurting them. I net some just so they get used to it, mainly use it when one needs attention from pecking ect.

If they're in one of the tractors or the coop we just feed / corner and grab, but if they're out in the pasture, We use a pond fish net with a long handle as well. Tried the pool net but the net is not deep enough. Butterfly nets are not strong enough. can't seem to get the hang of a poultry hook, but that's for a confined area.
