How to catch my Bob Whites?

I think Ozawkie posted this awhile ago. I could see one of these on the end of your pen, facing into the aviary. You would always have birds in both the aviary and the johnny.

I helped a friend catch and butcher about 100 A&Ms a couple of years ago, and he had them in an aviary like yours. It was like a badminton game with dip-nets.......LOL. Now keep in mind, these weren't Bobs, and I've got Bobs...and know how freakish they are, but gettin' them last 10 - 15 was a challenge like I don't care to go through again. I pondered over doin' the aviary thang, but glad I didn't for this reason and about 13 more. Good luck, my friend......

I just read your title. Funny thing one year I bought a pair of button quail and they were about the size of a golf ball. Well I had them in a cage in the house and took them outside for some excersize in a pen. Boy they made the funniest noises too. But anyway needless to say they got out of the pen, flew into the lilacs and over to the neighbors and I never saw them again.

Model A Tractor, this is a great video. That is the neatest thing. And for 7L Farm, you could build one of these and it would work great as Model A said, just to leave inside the aviary.

I could of built a trap & thanks everyone for the tips. I ordered a recovery cage from gun dog supply. It should do the trick for now. I'll build one when it cools down. I've built 5 coops this year & guess I didn't feel like dragging out the tools & chasing the supplies to build it. I'm definitely gonna need it because those birds are hard to catch plus the stress is not good for them or me. LOL. Thanks Again!
