They are both 3.5 months. Ideally I would like to keep both but that may not be realistic. I have no clue what to look for to decide.
Rooster 1
-seemed to mature faster
-perfected crowing by 8 weeks
-has started going for the girls, but they want nothing to do with that yet.
-gets them in the coop at night
-won't go in himself until all chickens are in the coop and ducks are in their house
-good with kids
-not aggressive toward humans
-answers other roosters in the area
-crows when he hears me come home and in the evening if I am late with his before bed snack
-very inquisitive and checks everything out
-does not challenge rooster 2, but will walk away when challenged
-does a bawkbabawk that is very different
Rooster 2
-started crowing about a month after the other one
-does not yet attempt to go for the girls
-follows the lead of rooster 1
-challenges rooster 1 every now and then
-not human aggressive
-good with kids
-not as inquisitive
I think I know which one would be the better bet and I just want other opinions.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
