How to choose between two Roos?

I have 2 roosters and 6 hens. I'm pretty sure this can go south. I hate to give one up before I see a problem. Can't stand being in this position. It would be so much easier if one was an ass.

If both roosters get along pretty well, I don't see why you feel the need to get rid of one.

I think I'm stuck on the not enough girls thing. I don't want the girls to be completely stressed out. If I had more room I would remove the 2 boys and put them in their own pen without the girls. I'm very new to chickens so I don't know what to expect, how to avoid it, etc. I know right now I have complete control over the boys. A sharp no gets there attention. When I'm trying to get the snacks ready and Duke is crowing I yell at him to shut up, he usually answers me back. If I'm in there with him he shuts up.i really enjoy all of them and learning, but I also want all of them to get along and not kill each other. The two roosters made contact one time within the first hour outside. I broke up that one without issue, but I had no clue what I was doing. I read some of these horror stories and it scares me.

Just let the two roosters sort out their problems, they are testing each other to see who's who on the pecking order....... I don't think they will fight to the death like some of the gamefowls do, I'm sure one will give way and let the other rule the roost. Once the pecking order has been established, there will be few problems between the two, perhaps a little squabble here or there but nothing major. Just make sure to keep an eye on them while they are still adjusting, I believe you said your chickens are new and still young?

What breed are the roosters and hens ? Some breeds are more docile and 2 roos might not be a problem if raised together whole life.

The roosters are leghorn and a silver lace. The girls are barred rock, brahmas, I think a golden lace and this one...

What is she? She has a very pleasant personality. (The brown one)

I can't tell color of reddish hen, if she is more reddish brown-probably a RIR. If she is more of an orange brown,then probably New Hampshire.
As for the roos, this combo may be a challenge.If I had to pick one, it would be the silver lace. The white roo would more likely attract predators and the LG comb more susceptible to injury and frostbite if you were in a colder climate and free ranged. Depends more on your local conditions.

Also not 100% sure the red is a hen by the picture . Please post another pic if you aren't sure of red bird sex.

If it helps the brown one has a couple black tail feathers in there. Whatever she is, she is very friendly.

I live in Illinois. The weather is so unpredictable it's not funny.

In my description Rooster one is the leghorn and as of right now I believe the better rooster.

A new thing going on? Everytime my younger GSD hears one of the girls squack because of the boy, he flies out there and stops it(his presence stops it(no contact ever)..obviously he don't want any arguing..lol

Here he is on watch(this was his first visit--I do not allow him to stand on the enclosure--but it was a good test for sturdiness)

Rooster number one sounds best, I was also thinking about it when you said he walks away when challenged, I think it's just that he knows it's a waste of time and energy when he could be trying to impress the girls
