How to clean duck coop?

My ducklings are 1 month old and i’m using straw as their bedding. Will I have to rake out the straw bedding or will the straw compost. And how long does it take for straw to compost? Do I just get ADDING some straw over the poops every couple days?

Depends what kind of conditions the pile of straw will be kept in, or what you're adding, but I had a big pile with just straw under a tree, and it took around nine months to fully decay. As far as cleaning, what I'll do is sprinkle some barn lime or PDZ over each turd, and cover it with straw. I then do a full clean every week.
