How to close membership?

I'm not going to be online this summer and maybe longer.
How do I close my membership?

I have never even been able to logout.
It always keeps me logged in.

I would seek out a moderator. I'm not really sure why you want to cancel. It doesn't cost anything and there is privacy.

Nifty Chicken has made it a point that they don't wipe out inactive members. He would prefer the names are there for if/when you want to come back.

I thought I was seeking out a moderator by posting this.
That's how it's usually taken care of on other boards.

I would like to cancel my membership.
No hard feelings, I don't know anyone enough
for any of that.

I have just never heard of not being able to leave
a board before.
I find that very odd.

I also find it odd that I can hit the "logout" button a
dozen times and still not be logged out.

So, how do I get in touch with someone who will do
this for me?

I had the same problem with not being able to log out. I pmed Nifty and he said that I had to delete my cookies for BYC. Thats probably your problem.
