So, I was wondering: Do pine sawdust pellets (TSC version of equine pine) compost faster because they are already ground up? I use them in my brooder and they work fine, and I will also use them for my coop later on. I would think that it would be faster for microbes to compost sawdust v.s. shavings because they are much smaller when the get wet (and turn into sawdust again).
