What can I do to cut protein besides oats. That won’t eat the oats. They pick around it . One of my ducks has angel wing and a few others might as well I just am not totally sure yet. They are 5 ish weeks old. I’ve wrapped with vet wrap but I want to also change their feed. What can i do? I was going to just mix in layer feed because it’s less protein but too high in calcium so if what to do.

Wheat works well with geese.
It's not necessarily angel wing. As the long feathers grow in, ducklings and goslings just don't have the musculature to support and hold up their wings. As they get bigger and stronger, they will be able to hold up their wings

What is the protein content of your feed?
Could you post a picture of the duckling's wing?
Too much protein is only one of the many causes that can cause AW to occur. Most duck feeds do not need to be cut down with any sort of ingredient to lower the protein content. In the case you would still want to lower the protein content, I suggest doing so by switching to a feed lower in protein, rather than adding an ingredient to the feed that will likely cause an imbalance in nutrients.

Well for the first 2-3 weeks I had them on duckling starter/grower which was 20 or 22% protein then after that I changed to chick starter/grower which is 18% protein but I’ve read they might need around 16 percent at this age but they don’t make such a thing unless it’s for adult ducks 18 weeks or older.

I already have wrapped it. It was clearly angel wing. It stuck straight up in the air on the left side and the right side is normal which i also know is common. Angel wing happens to only target the left wing or both wings but never the right wing by itself.

I'm watching for what people do about the protein and at what exact age. I've seen people say to lower protein at 3 weeks, except you're right JarenandLauren the adult duck feed says not to use it till six months old. What haven't feed companies made an intermediate feed? Several places I've looked are out of plain adult duck feed, so I've started feeding sprouts and greens.
