How to Deal With a Choking Chicken

Hello all,

I tried to look up articles or posts on what to do if you're chicken is choking, but the site had a pop-up that said it couldn't find the post/article whenever I clicked on one (even if it was very recent).

Mostly I am wondering for future purposes, as I remember when I was younger and my sister lost multiple chickens because they choked on food and died. Is there a heimlech maneuver for chickens or some other way to help them? We tried using a dropper with water, but to no avail. It was quite traumatic for us and I would really like to know how to help choking chickens.

My EE rooster, Bunny, sometimes has trouble with being too greedy and eating too much, too fast. When that happens, I sometimes I can feel some food actually stuck in his throat, so I just gently massage it, and try to move it down. I also rub under his chin, which stimulates swallowing.
