How do I delete messages from my in box?

If you don't want to be in a conversation. Then click "leave conversation"

In the Alerts box they go away on their own after a while. Like sassysarah123 said if you want to stop receiving messages from a specific thread go to the thread and click "unwatch thread". Hope that helps

Next "check" this box at the beginning of the message/conversation:

Then this screen will pop up:

Use the Drop down list to LEAVE CONVERSATION, when you do so you will have this option:
