How to disinfect properly?

I just culled my chicks because of respiratory disease and I need to disinfect quickly and thoroughly. They were kept in an indoor rabbit cage.(plastic bottom and wire top)I have washed everything(the cage, waterers, feeders etc.) with dish soap and bleach. I had the cage on the floor which is carpet and was wondering what is the most effective way to disinfect carpet and the inside of my house?

You'll have sterilize the carpet. There are many carpet sterilizers, just look it up on your computer and purchase one. Good luck.
