how to eat duck egg?

Eggs are personal preference. Why not try all the styles? You'll have plenty of eggs to experiment with :) Duck eggs have a slightly higher yolk to albumen ratio meaning if you were an egg connoisseur you may be able to tell the egg is creamier (higher in fat). I love my eggs over easy (cooked low and slow with bacon grease, of course) or poached. An omelette or scrambled egg is also delicious. Sometimes I make a sandwich with toast, avocado, egg, and salsa. Very yummy! Boiled is easier but a little more plain. Excellent for meal prep or quick egg salad.

Congrats on your first egg! If you don't learn to love them, I'm sure you have folks in your life who would love to take them off your hands.
once our other girl starts laying, and we get even more girls (for our other drake) i’ll definitely have to start giving them away 😂

Duck eggs make THE BEST deviled eggs we discovered. They’re much creamier than chicken eggs so the texture is a lot different. They’re also good boiled, fried, and great for baking.
i don’t like deviled eggs, but everyone else in my family does. we will definitely use some to make those

How do you get the shells off the hard boiled duck eggs??? I have tried every trick I can find (older eggs, cold water, salt, etc.) Their isn't hardly any white left when I am finished prying the shell off :(.
Duck eggs are AWESOME for baking and make great omelets!

Here is the trick I've learned: STEAM the eggs in a steamer basket 13-15 minutes (I do 13); then dunk them in an ice bath for 30 seconds to a minute, then pop them back in the steamer for 30 seconds to a minute. The expanding and contracting that occurs when going from hot to cold to hot loosens things up and 9/10 of ten they peel very well!! It's feels a little overkill, but fresh eggs are an SOB to peel!!!

thanks! I'll try that. it is a pity to buy eggs from the store just for hard boiled when my duck girls are laying just fine
