How to expand store bought coop

Hello!!:frow
What part are you wanting to expand? Coop or Run or Both?
There are alot of people on here with good building skills with great ideas. Maybe explain what type of expanding your looking for and they may be able to help.
If you asking if its able to be expanded then of course just follow the basic frame structure and make it as long or wide as you want.
Wish i could help more with it, i dont have great building skills i kinda just build with what i have on hand and my husband and father-in-law do to major things. :D
Wow. Well it is very nice for sure. Much nicer than my tsc coop!
Thank you!!

That's a nice setup.

Pics of inside would help.....
...and knowing what your goals are.

Dimensions of existing coop and run......and how many birds you have(and want to add).

Might want to enclose the attached run, with wooden walls to make a bigger coop.
Then make an even larger run.
Those are pretty cool fence panels for the short term,
but hard to access and mesh cover won't hold up to winter snow.

It looks really nice. I think the recommended sq ft is 4 per bird in the coop. So a 4x4 would be suitable for 4 birds. However, I know mine is not even close to as big as your coop and I have 4. It looks like you have expanded their run area. Could you expand that even more? Adding the plastic to certain parts will also make it so that they can use the run even in inclement weather. At least they would have more room to branch out when they can be outside.
I am planning on expanding my run and covering the existing run so that it can be more useful in the winter. Also, I am looking into a chicken tractor made by a local person. They are easy to move around to different parts of the yard and I have a lot of yard that the chickens could take advantage of while the grass is still seen and not covered by snow.
Maybe look into adding “boredom busters” too. I figure if they are entertaining themselves then they can’t be mean to each other. :p
Can I ask ask where you found such a nice store bought coop?

I bought the coop from The Lancaster chicken coop company but they told me that a 4x10 ft coop is enough for 12 chickens but they were wrong

It's not a 4X10 coop. It's a 4X4 coop with an attached 6X4 run.
I don't think I would put more than four chickens in that size coop and run.
Chicken coop people lie. TSC lies about its coops on a regular basis but your coop is much nicer than the TSC coops.
I have a 30 sq ft coop and a 200 sq ft run for six chickens. I think maybe two more might be pushing it. I don't free range because of a huge predator presence so their coop and run are all they have to be happy in.
Your coop is a nicely made coop and run, though, very nice. Just too small, sadly.
Living on LI you no doubt have some raccoons to deal with, at the very least. I would think about predator proofing that coop and run.
I think your chickens would be okay for the night in that coop but they need more room to play in that run.
I would also paint the interior and add poop trays for easy cleanup. :)
