I currently have 3 chicks, the oldest one is 7 days old and the youngest is 5 days old. I want to be able to know their sex relatively early. In my previous flock of 12 I tried to identify the chicks sex by looking at feather growth and I was 2/3 successful, but it took to long for me to tell the sex.
These are my questions about feather sexing.

What age do the chicks have to be in order to feather sex.
What do I have to look for?

That is all. Help is much appreciated.

Exactly what R2elk said. All the breeds that I have had aren’t feather sexable. Somebody breeds have Mamés with faster growing feathers, others with female feathers growing faster, and some that both genders grow the same. You really have to do it (if possible) when they are really young. What breed are your chicks?

I have 2 chicks that are "Blue Jersey Giant"xBuckeye cockerel. 1 AustralorpxBuckeye cockerel.
The Blue Jersey Giant is speculated by some to not be a pure BJG, because her chicks have a chipmunk pattern.
