how to feed veggies and kitchen scraps

We give ours all veggie and fruit scraps as well as grass clippings and pepper plant stalks, strawberry leaves and stalks, celery leaves, carrot tops and stalks, beet tops and stalks, radish tops and stalks, spotted tomatoes or peppers or cucumbers, etc. They have had a wide variety of raw greens from day one. I never added calcium until 4 months when they started to lay because they were getting calcium from all of those greens. They will not eat privet or honeysuckle leaves Their favorite leaves are pepper plant leaves . A complete pepper plant stalk disappears like time-lapse photography! They like certain weeds, and dandelion greens is one they really like. I am still giving them pepper plant leaves, strawberry leaves and grass clippings because in Tennessee I have not yet had a freeze so my garden is still going. My son is getting cherry tomatoes still from a plant that he started mid-season. Next year I am doing several tomato plants mid-season for that reason. My chooks do not like tomato greens or leaves, nor cucumber nor zuchinni leaves either.
