and a handful of BOSS and scratch.

I had been adding some scratch to my regular feed/FF, but I noticed my troublemaker, Big Bird, billing it out of the feeder to find the tiny bits of scratch available. No more! They make enough of a mess as it is. Now the scratch goes into the run, when they get any, so they can turn the deep litter!

JLWquilter and blackdog043 thank you so much for your feedback!!! That's exactly what I needed to hear. I want to do the best for my girls, but I also want to do something they actually want. I really love my hens. It's really the only reason I'm considering this. I don't care what my feed costs me because I have a small flock. 9 atm, was 12 before the Bald Eagle attack, which wont happen again. ( It was unusual in these parts and now they are protected.) I will try to make it the right consistency for them. Learning every day on this site.
