How to find and figure out kinds of worms my hens have and how to de-worm them

My hens appear to have worms, how do I find if they really do? I would also like to know how to tell what kind they have, and what to deworm with and how to deworm. Any advice you have on what to do will be welcome! I am still new to this, and I am learning as I go. YES I WILL send pictures later to help.

Take fresh fecal samples (combine several) to your veterinarian's office for a fecal exam. Call ahead; some clinics send them out to a lab, where any should be able to be run, and some places run them 'in house'. Either will be good.
There's no reason to just give wormers of any sort to your birds, unless they actually have parasites, and then which will determine what product needs to be used, and at what dosage.
