How to find Processor

Does anyone know where I can get some chickens/turkeys processed in N Central Alabama? How do you go about locating one? How much do they normally charge?

I would check with the local feed stores / farmers markets. I've heard prices run in the $4 - 5 per bird range, but I'm sure that depends on where you live, etc..

I called local processors (not licensed to do poultry) and they directed me to the Amish. $1.25 a bird.

Call the dept of AG. in Montgomery,Al. they will be able to tell you what your options are. You didn't mention how many you need to process but I think it would be cheaper and easier to just do it yourself.
