Spydrworks idea is good one. If you are able to construct a pen then this would be ideal. Good luck with your hens.

Yeah, I have the coop with an attached, almost constructed 6x8 chicken run, right next to, not inside of, my fenced in area for the kids to play..maybe I could just let them into the kids area for a couple supervised hours each day? The rest of the time they can be in their chicken run.
