How to get guineas to roost in coop at night

I'm keeping mine in the chicken tractor (coop) for a few months and every evening at dusk, I ring a cowbell and bring them meal worms. The ONLY time they get meal worms is at dusk at the sound of the cow bell. I'm trying to train them to come running when they hear the cow bell. By the way, I started this when they were around 2-3 weeks of age and living in a box in our RV! lol.

The coop is fenced in so that I can let them out to free range around the coop, but they cannot wander off... yet. When I am confident that they have their routine down pat, I'll let them out of their penned area to free range.

I started with four guineas but a possum killed three of them. The lone survivor, who has been named Radar, knows the routine. This past weekend, I brought home three 7-week old guineas who need to be trained. When I go out on the back porch and ring the bell, Radar comes running to the edge of the coop. She's got it figured out.

Now the others, who've never had meal worms before coming to us, are starting to "get it." They LOVE the meal worms! They seem to follow Radar around and they do what she does.

Good luck!!
