How to get hen to use nesting box

I guess I'm lucky I put 6 plastic baskets from the Dollar Tree screwed to a shelf about 5 and a half ft off the ground with a ramp to the shelf, and about another 5 ft of head room to the roof of the coop, threw some wood chips in them 2 days later when our first egg ever came it was in the basket. I would like to know if there is a way to get them to stop all laying in one basket I get 4 eggs in one spot. I'm thinking they will get stepped on and broken.

We have rollaway boxes. So it's difficult to do that. I placed ceramic eggs in the boxes finally, which was tricky given they are roll away boxes. Once started laying in the boxes though
You can always start with some bedding in the rollaway nests, then slowly remove it as they start to use them.

Put one fake egg in all nests.

I had an old dogs house, like the igloo dog houses, in my back yard so I took that and put in the chicken lot and added straw and a ramp since it's on legs off the floor and mine use the dog house instead of the wooden nesting boxes attached to the wall. They just prefer to be closed in all the way around.
