How to get her to stop pecking me?!

I've got two aggressive twits right now that I'm training to stay away from me. Right now, I'm using a koi pond aquarium net. When the come at me, I scoop them up and carry them around over my shoulder while I finish feeding everyone else. *grin*

Crazy thing..pick her up and hold her for a while..Then let her down...we had one do this to us and the picking up stopped..she would chase you around the yard trying to get at you...

I hope your efforts in rehabilitating this aggressive bird are successful.

When one of my Australorp pullets, Pepper, started brutally attacking one of my EE pullets, Willow, Pepper got put in a cage in the shed for a little over a week away from everyone. Every day I would feed the flock, bring Willow in the house and treat her wounds, and after letting Willow back in with everyone else, I'd go out to the building and hold Pepper, and give her some one-one-one time. After ten days of this, I let her back into the flock and have never had problems with her again. Once she realized that Mama wouldn't put up with that, she stopped and decided to be good.

My birds know I have a zero tolerance for excessive hazing and bullying. Even my lowest-ranking hen isn't missing a single feather, and for the most part, they all get along great. One simply must curb the undesired behavior before it gets out of hand.

I think a couple weeks away from her sisters will do your bird some good. Maybe she'll appreciate her flockmates a little more once they're taken away from her.
